First day in Spain part 1 of 2

Our flight from Seattle to Philadelphia departed at 8:40am, so it was a real pain to wake up at 6am to get to the airport (mainly because we stayed up till 5am packing.... thanks again to Jess for letting us use her car, and thanks to Phil for driving us).  However, we arrived on time, but the only problem was that all of our bags were over weight :(  So we took out several items that from various bags that we wanted to take with us (such as books we wanted to read, clothes, etc. etc.)  and left them with Phil to take back and store somewhere (nice guy).  Finally we left Seattle, arrived in Philadelphia and had some crappy airport food and then went on the plane  to Madrid.  After an 8 hour flight we arrived and took our first picture
We realized that there probably isn't a lot of differences between airport terminals around the world.  So we took a picture of an item where we did notice a difference
Aw shiet, a coke machine that has Spanish writing on it.  It asks "Are you thirsty?" (Well, it actually says "Do you have thirst?")
Apparently I match the stereotypical tourist in Spain

Finally, some moneys.  Side note:  Derrick, I have no idea how you confused 20 euros and 50 euros, they are different colors, different sizes AND they clearly have numbers printed on them.

After this we told our cab driver to take us to our hostel (which is located in the center of Madrid).   This post is getting pretty long so I will make a second post on our first day in Spain - the next post will have more pictures of the city.
